Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
- This promotion is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older.
- To enter, participants must:
- Tune in to The Edge during the promotion period
- Listen for on-air clues hinting at the mystery Contiki destination
- Be the first caller to correctly drop a pin on the destination map when prompted
- Only entries received via phone call during the promotional period are eligible.
Promotion Period
- Promotion runs from Saturday 28 June 2025 to Monday 8 July 2025
- The winner will be announced live on-air during this period on The Edge
How to Win
- Clues will be revealed live on The Edge radio throughout the promotional period
- Listeners must piece together the clues to determine the Contiki trip destination
- When prompted, callers can phone in to drop a pin on the destination map
- The first caller to correctly identify the destination wins the prize
Prize Details
The winner will receive:
- Return economy class flights from a major New Zealand international airport (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, or Dunedin) to a special destination in Asia
- A spot on a selected Contiki Asia tour
- Flight costs covered up to a maximum of NZD $1600, including airport taxes
- One carry-on bag (up to 7kg) and one checked bag (up to 20kg), confirmed at the time of booking
Not included:
- Travel insurance
- Domestic transfers or connections within New Zealand
- Accommodation before or after the Contiki tour
- Meals and incidentals not included in the Contiki itinerary
- Any flight costs exceeding NZD $1600 (the winner may cover this at their own expense)
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
Travel Periods & Blackout Dates
Flights
- Travel must be completed between 28 July 2025 and 28 July 2026.
- Flight blackout periods: 19 December 2025 – 16 January 2026, 3 April – 17 April 2026, 4 July – 19 July 2026
- Flights are subject to availability and must be booked through Mix & Match. If the selected flights exceed the NZD $1600 allowance, the winner may pay the difference.
Contiki Tour
- Valid for travel during: 9 August 2025 – 24 January 2026, or 4 April 2026 – 25 July 2026
- Contiki blackout periods: 20 December 2025 – 15 January 2026, 3 April – 19 April 2026
- The winner must provide three preferred departure dates, and final travel arrangements will be confirmed by Mix & Match and Contiki, subject to availability.
General Conditions
- The promoter of this promotion is Mix & Match Travel NZ Limited (“the Promoter”)
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend, extend, or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice
- Any suspected fraudulent activity or non-compliance with these terms may result in disqualification
- The Promoter is not responsible for technical issues, phone line disruptions, or any other circumstance preventing entry or winner notification
- The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury suffered as a result of this promotion or the prize, except as required by law
