Hamad International Airport, Doha: Opened in 2014, Hamad International Airport is one of the most modern and advanced airports in the world. The airports website has an awesome feature where you can input your flight details and it’ll tell you how long it will take to clear customs/security etc (based on scheduled traffic for that day and time). The airport is also home to one of the largest airport retails precincts in the world and has a fantastic range of shops. Travellers with mobility problems should ask your House of Travel consultant to book airport assistance as the distances between some gates can be significant. All travellers must be aware that it’s illegal to bring alcohol and pork products into Qatar, but is ok if you’re just transferring to an onward flight. Free WiFi is available throughout the airport.
