        THE HUBS
Auckland Airport: Auckland Airport is by far the largest airport in New Zealand by numbers of passengers received, number of direct destinations served and by number of airlines flying there. The international terminal is large, modern and well set out, with lots of shops and eateries. The domestic terminal however, is not so flash, although it is under renovation. Air New Zealand's domestic operation has the super efficient check in kiosks and luggage drop. Unfortunately Jetstar do not have this service and queues are common, so we recommend allowing extra check in time if flying with Jetstar at peak times. It's important to note that the international and domestic terminals are not connected, but are linked by a five minute free shuttle ride, or ten minute walk. Be sure to allow for this when connecting.
Wellington Airport: Wellington's airport is small, yet modern and super efficient. There's a great range of shops and plenty of public spaces. An awesome feature of the airport is the huge 15 metre figures from the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies in the main lounge. Air New Zealand offers their great check in kiosks and baggage drop here. Jetstar do not, but there's no significant delays.
Christchurch Airport: There's a range of shops in the domestic terminal including several eateries. The international terminal is connected and has its own range of shops. The airport has very large and modern public areas also. Air New Zealand offers their great check in kiosks and baggage drop here. Jetstar do not, but there's no significant delays.
