Air New Zealand and American Airlines have both revealed new ways to fly to the USA.

Direct flights from Auckland to New York flying Air New Zealand will take off on 29 October 2020, becoming the first ever non-stop service between New Zealand and New York.
The airline will fly the route three times weekly, year-round to Newark Liberty International Airport with an expected flight time of 15 hours 40 minutes northbound and 17 hours 40 minutes southbound.
Mix & Matchers will be able to book Air New Zealand's new flights to New York on mixandmatch.co.nz from November 2019.
Meanwhile, American Airlines has announced plans to launch seasonal services between Christchurch and Los Angeles, in addition to between Auckland and Dallas.
Set to take off in October 2020, the Christchurch to Los Angeles service will be the only non-stop flights between the two cities.
Both routes will operate three flights weekly over the October-March peak season, and will be bookable online with Mix & Match.
